Recent projects

Some of our recent projects are:

  • Design of multi-fonctional materials (with mainly acoustical and thermal capabilities).
  • Investigation of the potential of heterogeneous porous material for the reduction of enclosed machinery noise.
  • Optimisation of pore sizes, distribution and shape of mineral foams.
  • Increase of acoustic properties of heterogeneous porous materials based on recycled matters.
  • Sound absorption preditions and measurements in impedance tube on large anechoic wedge samples (cross-section: 600 x 600 mm2, thickness up to 1 500 mm) used in anechoic rooms.
  • sound absorption measurements, characterizations and modeling of systems composed of perforated plates and porous materials for building applications.
  • Interpretation of physical phenomena involved in the danping of concrete floors.
